The Landry Early Childhood Center at Rivier University provides early education and care for children six weeks through kindergarten age. The LECC is located on the Rivier campus and enrolls children from surrounding communities and University employees' and students' families.
The Center is open year-round from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offers part- and full-time child care programs, as well as half- and full-day kindergarten.
The Landry Early Childhood Center is a special place for children.
The Center offers an inclusive program serving children with a variety of abilities and embraces the unique talents of all children and families. LECC teachers work with parents to support and enhance each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through questioning, listening, and active participation in Center activities.
The LECC provides opportunities for Rivier University education majors to observe and work with children under the direct supervision of cooperating teachers, and to develop skills for success in the early childhood education field.
The LECC is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – the national accrediting body for childhood education programs – and licensed by the New Hampshire Child Care Licensing Unit.
